Evil arrows

Evil arrows

But apart from arrows of bitter words, false witnesses and deceitful tongues, there are evil arrows that the enemy shoot in the spirit against people and their destinies while they sleep physically and spiritually – evil arrows that have negative repercussions in the lives of their targets, evil arrows of strange sicknesses, death, failure, adversity, tragedy, etc. Many lives and homes have suffered from such evil arrows by sharp shooters like the army of great nations from the north that God said He would raise against Babylon.
Most times, people don’t know when the plot to shoot the arrows are being made and even shot; they only experience the result or effect of the arrows in their lives, homes, marriages, health, etc. Prov 1:17 says, “When a bird sees a trap being set, it stays away.” (NLT)
That is why the evil arrow shooters shoot when their targets are not alert or sensitive, they take their targets by surprise and before they realize what is happening, the enemies have already finished their work leaving their targets to live with effect of the evil arrows that they’ve shot.
This is exactly what the enemy did in Matt 13 in the parable of the wheat and weeds Jesus told. The Bible says, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. But that night as everyone slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat. When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. The farmer’s servants came and told him, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds!’ ‘An enemy has done it!’ the farmer exclaimed” (Matt 13:24-28, NLT).
In this scripture, the Bible shows us how the enemy took advantage of the night – figuratively the time when someone is relaxed, is resting, is not watchful – to plant tares in the midst of wheat. But that does not mean it has to be in the night hours alone; the enemy can attack with arrow in day time too. Even in the day time if someone is careless, the enemies can shoot their arrows at him or her , let’s take a moment to reflect and pray
